ONLY TALKS AND NO SOLUTION

ONLY TALKS AND NO SOLUTION

It looks very clear that congress led UPA government and most of the political parties in India look at any social, economic or a political problem from a narrow communal angle only. One always gets surprised and shocked to see those swearing in the name of secularism, treat general problem of poor masses on the basis of caste and religious divisions. The poverty alleviation programmes are not targeted at general poor but on the basis of hair split divisions of people in the name of their religion, caste and creed. This apartheid and artificial division of society has given rise to acute disintegration and bifurcation of masses on hostile antagonistic lines and has sharpened the sentiment of negative activism of certain socially and politically active groups, who generally make people rally around these narrow selfish objectives, ignoring the overall bigger objective of a comprehensive progress of masses through broader vision of overall socio-economic and political development. There is a feeling of lack of well thought over planning which contemplated on narrowing the widened gape between rich and poor by way of rational distribution of national wealth and resource.
From the bloody insurgency of Naxalites to the terrorism in Kashmir, the root cause of the problem is deeply existent in the dichotomy of the state in the propagation and application of its policies. The practice of the state has been completely in contravention to what it claims to stand for.
If India is a secular and democratic country why should it lay any importance to the communal groups of Kashmir separatists and think their advocacy about the aspiration of people as the aspirations of entire J&K people. And what these aspirations are all about by the way? The ongoing turmoil in the last sixteen years has more than exposed the gamut of these aspirations from hard core terrorist leaders to the moderate mainstream Mehbooba Mufti that these aspirations are nothing but communal manifestations to hoodwink the innocent people and exploit them in the name of religion and Islamic rule through the slogan of Aazadi, Self rule and Autonomy.
No one in Kashmir is concerned about the problems of the poor masses that do not hold any political clout. The situation is terribly grim and alarming to the extent that on the one hand, the crooks and criminals along with the anti social elements have amassed huge fortunes and those with humble and honest means of livelihood are left with very little options to choose between the devil and the deep sea.
The fault is again in the acceptance of any situation as it surfaces at a given time and not going deep in its root to eliminate it. The Kashmir problem is the outcome of a weak democracy surviving on patchwork solutions of problems on communal divisions of society. Pakistan has taken advantage of this situation and made the best of this already flared up contradiction. If today it spreads its tentacles of terrorism to the limits of entire country, just blaming ISI will not suffice the reason.
There is only one solution to Kashmir problem and that lies in treating it at par with all other states of India. There is no reason of its being different, unique or special from any other part of the country. Every state of India has its unique and general characteristics as has got Kashmir also. Why is it that a Kashmiri can settle down in any part of India, carry on his business and enjoy the privileges of the said place to its hilt and deny the same to the people of other states in Kashmir? The duplicity in the nature of this kind of relation for a prolonged period in the minds of the people in Kashmir has created a feeling of separatist tendency to more extent than any other annihilation. The relation of the state of J&K with the rest of the state becomes in itself conspicuous in the mind of an average person in and outside J&K by such nature of the relation.
Pakistani rulers want to consolidate their dividends of ongoing terrorism on the nature of this relation of India with Kashmir. They try to capitalize by hoodwinking the entire world leadership on peaceful solution whilst their own stance and utterances have nothing new to offer.
Pakistan has been calling this hot and cold from the same breath since 1947. It has a clear history of deceit and duplicity in its claim on Kashmir. It has fought three regular wars and has been bleeding Kashmir for the 16 years without any reason, how can one believe the foreign Ministry of Pakistan or Mushraf statement to give up claim on Kashmir. Pakistan is habitual of doing things by proxy. Pakistan President represents its people by Proxy, it is fighting its war with India by Proxy, it sends its regular army to fight in Kargil by proxy, now it wants to have Kashmir by proxy, though it does not seem to be claiming it any more. The reason behind this all proxy is that Pakistan has emerged in existence by proxy.
Pakistan is a living example of how the artificial alliances sought in the name of religion do tear away with the passage of time when other interests of economic and cultural relations are confronted and clash. The divisive policies to make further divisions on communal basis will ultimately prove harmful for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is high time that Mushraf instead of asking India to withdraw forces from J&K completely stops training terrorists on its soil and sending them to valley for creating mayhem. Give respite to Kashmiris from the clutches of terror.
Indian army will have least role to play in Kashmir after the end of Militancy in Kashmir.
But what is the outcome? The solution is not come. Because nothing is changed.
Apparently yes, nothing will change but the end of Militancy will see end to all problems created and sustained by it.
Having said that, the intentions of Pakistan are fairly obvious in the manner its involvement in Mumbai blasts was affirmed not only by Indian investigating Agencies but by American Authorities also. We are quite familiar with the reports of Pakistani intelligence agencies and terrorist groups spreading their tentacles in and around India to create terror networks and weaken Indian state by carrying terror strikes in India. In this atmosphere of mistrust joint mechanism on any mutual Indo-Pak venture looks as a crude joke. (@copy2008)
